There's already an agreement in place with Barcelona for a season-long loan

Borussia Dortmund are waiting for Paco Alcacer's response. The German club have reached an agreement in principle with Barcelona for a season-long loan but the player will have the final say. If he's happy to move, everything suggests he will be a Bundesliga player in the coming days.

Barça have struck a deal with Dortmund. Alcacer would move on loan for a fee of 2.5 million euros, while Dortmund would have an option to sign him permanently for 25 million next summer.

Alcacer's been impressed by the level of Dortmund's interest and desire to sign him but has not yet made a final decision.

Ernesto Valverde did not call up the striker for either of Barça's first two games in La Liga this season. At the weekend, against Real Valladolid, he even sent a clear message by picking Munir ahead of him as the backup to Luis Suarez.

The chances of Alcacer playing regularly this season are slim, so he's set to leave. He must decide if that will be for Dortmund, though, and the German club want an answer within 48 hours -- they don't want to wait until the last minute.

A sign of there lack of patience is the fact they have already lined up a second option in the case that Alcacer decides against a move to Germany. French striker Anthony Modeste, currently in China, is the backup.
