Arsenal, Milan, PSG, City and United were also interested in the Dortmund playmaker

Marco Reus has always been liked by Europe’s big sides but his injuries and inconsistencies and love for Borussia Dortmund has seen him stay in Germany, despite Barca, Man City, Man United, Arsenal, PSG and AC Milan all being linked at one time or another.

The German edition of Goal.com carries some quotes from Reus published in GQ magazine, which confirmed Barca’s interest in him.

“In the summer of 2015, my boss Dirk Hebel was I’m the Dusseldorf airport hotel with Raul Sanllehi. Six months later members of the club sent me a message to bring me to Spain.” Barca tried more than once, without success.

They weren’t the only ones. There were also meeting with Arsenal, Milan, PSG and both Manchester sides.

Reus said, in an interview with DAZN: “Of course I thought about the offers from the big clubs for more than a day. If I said otherwise I’d be lying, but in the end I always chose my club and I don’t regret it.”
