Jordi Cardoner spoke about the duo, who have both been linked with Inter
Barcelona vice president Jordi Cardoner says the club are proud that Italian sides like Inter, Juventus and AC Milan are interested in Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal.
Rakitic and Vidal have struggled to hold down a place in Ernesto Valverde's side this season and have both been linked with January moves to Serie A.
"If they don't play so much it's because, as our coach has explained several times, we have a lot of players in midfield," Cardoner told Tuttosport.
"I don't have to say how they would play in other teams. That said, we're pleased that are players are linked with big clubs like Inter and Juve, because that means we have a great team."
Cardoner was less concise when asked about Barça's interest in young Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez, who's having a fine season with Inter.
"I never speak about players that don't belong to us because I respect their clubs," he added. "A lot has been said about him? Do I also have to speak about all the players whose names are in the papers every day? We would need five teams for them all to play."
