Barcelona respond to Messi's latest message by sending him a burofax

The club inform Leo he is still under contract and is required to attend the PCR testing on Sunday

Lionel Messi and Barça are still communicating to one another, although the majority of those messages appear to be sent via burofax and messages leaked to the press. Following the news Messi won't be attending the PCR tests on Sunday, Barça have quickly responded with a burofax of their own.

According to Josep Pedrerol, Barça president Josep Maria Bartomeu will send Messi - and his lawyers - a message informing the club captain that he's still under contract and must attend the coronavirus testing protocol tomorrow.

Messi is determined to meet with Barça in order to leave on good terms. Leo isn't going to change his mind and he wants to play for a different club. The Argentinian star's legal team insist the 'exit clause' is still active and he has the right to leave on a free transfer. This is in stark contrast to Barça who believe the clause expired on the 10th June and, as such, expect Leo to appear tomorrow for testing and to start training on Monday.
