Leo doesn't want to stay at Barça and intends to exercise the 'exit clause' in his contract

Leo Messi continues to insist he wants to leave FC Barcelona and take up the 'exit clause' which exists in his contract.

The Argentine star believes that clause is still active because the season ended later than planned due to the coronavirus outbreak. He wants to play for another team in the 2020/21 season.

According to SPORT sources, Messi has told Barça he won't be attending the PCR testing on Sunday. The first team squad are expected back at the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper to take the test ahead of preseason training beginning on Monday. Leo would rather meet with Josep Maria Bartomeu to ensure he leaves the club on good terms.

This is another clear example of Messi's desire to begin a new chapter in his career. The frontrunners for Leo are believed to be Manchester City, who are now coached by Pep Guardiola.
