Barcelona player ratings after 4-1 win at Las Palmas
Neymar played brilliantly, bringing the magic and scoring a hat-trick
Luis Suarez notched the other goal while Pedro Bigas pulled one back for the hosts
Marc-Andre ter Stegen 7 - Two good interventions to deny Las Palmas, couldn’t do anything about the goal.
Lucas Digne 7 - Out of position at right-back. Lucky not to see red for fouling Jese. Showed his versatility until a new injury forced him off before the hour.
Marlon 7 - The young centre-back played unexpectedly, after Mascherano was injured in the warm up. Did well, without flare but also without errors.
Samuel Umtiti 7 - Held his own at the back despite the defensive problems the team are having. Partnered up well with Marlon.
Jordi Alba 7 - Combined well with Neymar for the fourth goal, a great counter with Jordi Alba taking on the Usain Bolt role and Neymar doing magic like David Copperfield.
Sergio Busquets 8 - Magisterial. Got to every ball and made the right choices, as well as doing a great backheel for the first goal.
Ivan Rakitic 8 - Showed his physical ability while not forgetting to bring his talent too. Set up the third with a cross for Neymar.
Andres Iniesta 8 - Did well to help set up the first goal, set the rhythm of the game.
Lionel Messi 7 - Couldn’t score despite the odd good chance. Hasn’t had much luck against Las Palmas in the last couple of years.
Luis Suarez 8 - Great quality to set up Neymar then score himself with a first-time log.
Neymar 9 - Spectacular exhibition, scoring a hat-trick. The first goal was thanks to his conviction, the second his drive and the third his talent. And he set up Suarez too. Simply genius.
