Lucas Digne could have been sent off twice against Las Palmas

The Frenchman was booked for taking down Jese although it might have been red

Later he elbowed Jonathan Viera and was not punished with a second yellow card

Lucas Digne played at right-back against UD Las Palmas and he didn’t have a good game. Out of place, the Frenchman could have been sent off twice in the first 20 minutes of the game with the score at 0-0.

The first controversial moment came after six minutes, when he took down Jese. The former Madrid man had beaten Digne and was running into the box to threaten Ter Stegen’s goal. The referee booked Digne for it but it could have been red, which is what the Las Palmas players were asking for.

Digne continued the game and 13 minutes later jumped with Jonathan Viera, elbowing the midfielder’s head. Watching the replay he was lucky to avoid a second yellow, with Gonzalez Gonzalez letting the incident go unpunished.
