Barcelona midfielder Arthur Melo failed an alcohol test on Monday after crashing his Ferrari Palafrugell on the Costa Brava.

The 'Diari de Girona' first revealed that Arthur had been spotted by a police officer after driving his car on to a pavement in the town at 4am in the morning.

According to the report, Arthur was notably drunk when the police officer approached and was subjected to an alcohol test.

The Brazil international testet over the limit, with 0.55 milligrams of alcohol per millilitre of blood when the legal limit in Spain is 0.5.

Arthur is not back in Barcelona but faces legal proceedings as he prepares for his move to Juventus later this month.
