The teenager replaces the injured Carles Perez in the squad
Young Barcelona star Ansu Fati has had his first international call up for Spain after being added to the U21 squad on Saturday for next week's game in Montenegro.
Ansu, 16, comes into Luis de la Fuente's squad following an injury to Barça teammate Carles Perez and could make his debut in next week's qualifier for the U21 Euros in 2021.
Muscle problems have forced Perez out of the game, prompting Spain to turn to Ansu. Remember he was not in the initial squad because his paperwork wasn't cleared by FIFA. It has now been sorted.
Ansu will not be part of the Spain U17 squad which travels to the U17 World Cup in Brazil later this month, though. If he had been, Barça could have lost him for up to five weeks.
