Ansu Fati has burst on to the scent this season at the age of 16, making his Barcelona debut and scoring his first goals for the first team.
The young forward now has Spanish citizenship and is eligible to play for La Roja and could be involved at international level in the international break in November.
At first, Spain rushed through nationalisation with the idea of using him in the U17 World Cup, but he will not go to the tournament in Brazil, with Barça now prepared to lose him for a month.
Everything suggests that, if he keeps his form up, he will be involved with Spain U21 or possible even with Robert Moreno's senior squad. La Roja have Euro 2020 qualifiers coming up ahead of next summer's tournament.
Spain face Malta on Nov. 15 and Romania on Nov. 18. Meanwhile, the U21s, coached by Luis de la Fuente, have Macedonia and Israel on Nov. 14 and Nov. 19 as they bid to qualify for the U21 Euros in 2021.
The upcoming lists could also give an idea as to whether Ansu will be involved in the Euros next summer with Spain's senior team or if he will go to the Olympics in Tokyo.
Euro 2020 starts on June 2020 and will be held in 12 different cities across Europe. If Spain make the final, it will end on July 12. The Olympics start on July 23 and end on August 8. Therefore, in terms of dates, he could be involved in both.
We will see what decisions are made in the coming months.
