Barca have congratulated Lucho on his new role in charge of Spain
Barcelona were one of the first to congratulate former coach Luis Enrique on his new role in charge of the Spanish national team.
Lucho left Barcelona last summer after two La Liga titles, one Champions League and three Copa del Rey wins, and he had a sabbatical year. Now he is ready for a new challenge and the Spanish FA appointed him Monday.
Lucho, who shone for Barcelona as a player but further still as a coach, never has hidden his Barcelonismo. The club sent him a message wishing him "lots of luck".
