Barcelona & Chelsea battling for Rangers' teenage star Billy Gilmour

The Premier League side lead the way in the fight to sign the Scottish youngster

Barcelona and Chelsea are battline it out for the services of one of the jewells of Scottish football. Antonio Conte's Chelsea, however, are best placed to sign the teenager, according to The sun. 

The English newspaper reports that Chelsea have jumped ahead of Barça in the fight to sign Rangers' Billy Gilmour, 15. Gilmour is a player Chelsea dream will become a first team midfielder at Stamford Bridge in the years to come.

However, they must wait until he turns 16, on June 11, 2017 as it is prohibited to sign players under that age. 

Remember that Barcelona were first linked with the player, dubbed the Scottish Andres Iniesta, a while ago. Bayern Munich have also followed his progress as well as a number of other English clubs, who have had him watched in various games. 

The cost of the operation would be around 100,000 pounds in formation fees.
