Ferran Torres remains a Barcelona target. The Valencia midfielder, who is also wanted by Real Madrid and a number of European clubs, was watched by the Catalan club on Saturday, according to Superdeporte, with Pep Serer checking him out.

Serer, who joined Barça as part of sporting director Robert Fernanez's team, watched Torres playing for Valencia Mestalla at Paterna in their game against Hercules in the third tier of Spanish football. It's the first game the teenager has played since returning from the U17 World Cup in India, where Spain finished runners-up.

Valencia's econd team lost the game, but it served for Serer to watch Torres first hand. He started the game and played the whole 90 minutes, but could not stop his side falling to defeat.

Los Che want to keep hold of Torres at all costs and for that reason will give him a first team contract and he will train with Marcelino's squad, with his release clause increasing to around 25 million euros.
