Los Che don't want to lose the talented teenager

Barça are among the clubs interested in Torres

Valencia are looking into how to stop the departure of young starlet Ferran Torres, who's wanted by some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Barcelona.

Torres is currently with Spain in India for the U17 World Cup, where his reputation could grow further with a series of good performances.

Born in Foios in 2000, Torres has a contract with Valencia until 2019 and a release clause of eight million euros. However, Valencia have an option to extend his terms until 2020 when he becomes a first team player, which would see his clause rise to 25 million euros.

But, aside from the money, Valencia feel that Torres is committed to the club and therefore will indulge him in order to keep him at Mestalla. That's to say he will have a presence in the first team, if not a registration.

It will show the teenager that they count on him, will give him the chance to train with the first team and he may even earn some game time.

While the player is taking part in the World Cup, there are plans for a meeting with his representatives to revise his contract.
