Barcelona have backtracked on the issue of the new badge. The club's president revealed on Monday that there will be a period on reflextion and no new design will ditch the letters 'FCB', the main reason socios rebelled against the changes at Saturday's AGM.
Josep Maria Bartomeu, speaking to Catalunya Radion on Monday, said: "I want to explain to everyone that the evolution of the badge is a way of adapting to new technologies. After listening to the socios I understand the need to revise the plans because it was not accepted by the socios, which is why I removed it from the order of the day.
"After listening to the members, I decided some internal reflexion was needed and to leave it for the future. It was as simple as removing an issue because it wasn't accepted. There will be some reflexion. FCB will continue to be on the badge, that's clear."
