Barça's Messi says it will be "difficult for club to return to where they were"
Messi spoke to La Sexta about everything to do with the club, his future and his life
Barcelona star Lionel Messi says it will be difficult for the club to return to where they were because of the bad management at board level.
In an interview with La Sexta's Jordi Evole, Messi didn't shy from the club's problems bit assured he is "hungry to seriously fight for everything we have ahead of us."
Messi said: "The club is going through a complicated moment, the club and the team, which makes everything that surrounds Barcelona difficult.
"It's a difficult moment for the club, like for everyone, but we know the club is really bad (financially), it's really bad and it will be difficult to return to where we were."
The new president, who will be elected on Jan. 24, will be tasked with turning the club around.
And Messi added: "It won't be easy for the new president to turn things around. I hope whoever wins does things well to get this great club back to where it deserves to be."
Despite that, Messi says he's still not decided what he will do at the end of the season when his contract expires and left some hope that he could remain at Camp Nou.
