The Barcelona star doesn't want to be distracted from winning titles with the club

Leo Messi spoke about his future in Sunday's interview with Jordi Evole on La Sexta as he moves towards the final six months of his Barcelona contract.

"I don't have anything clear until the end of the year," Messi said. "I am going to wait for the season to finish. The important thing is to think about the team and to try and win titles, not to get distracted with other issues. I am going to give my best for the club."

Messi added: "I don't know what will happen. I am focused on what we have in front of us over the next six months. It would not be right to tell you what I am going to after that because even I don't know."

Evole gave Messi two guidebooks, one for Manchester and another for Paris, but Messi said he didn't want them and handed them back.

However, Messi did reveal one league he would like to play in: "I have always dreamed of experiencing the USA, the league there. If it happens or not, I don't know. It's not for now, it's for the future."

Asked about life after football, Messi said he would like to return to work at Barca one day, albeit as a sporting director rather than as a coach.
