Ilias was set to join the Premier League side but Tuesday's dismissals change everything
It was practically a done deal but, barring a surprise, Barcelona's Ilias Akhomach will not be joining Leeds United this summer.
His arrival at the English club was conditional on the continuity of Víctor Orta and Javi Gracia as manager and coach. And both have just left the Elland Road club, so their chances of signing the winger have fallen through.
In principle, this does not change the player's situation at Spotify Camp Nou and it is very unlikely that he will renew his contract with Barcelona.
His contract deal this June and both he and his agents will now reactivate the other offers they had on the table after closing the priority one, that of Leeds.
