The Catalan club are interested in both of the Ajax youngsters

Holland welcome Germany to Amsterdam in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday. The Dutch, with Ronald Koeman on the bench, lost to Francia (2-1) in Paris in their opening game, but they played well and the sensation is that they're on the verge of buidling a good team again (they haven't qualified for the last two international tournaments).

A large part of that optimism is because of the young players coming through, namely two from Ajax. Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong are drawing interest from across Europe, including Barcelona. Both are in the squad to face Germany.

De Ligt has made nine appearances for Holland. Despite only being 19, he's Ajax's captain and has been with the national team since he made his debut at 17.

De Jong only made his debut in the last international break, playing the second half of a friendly against Peru and the whole game against Germany. He did well in both outings, especially the latter. The problem is that fitness issues have ruled him out of Ajax's recent matches -- he last played vs. PSV at the end of September.

Barça will not miss the game. They have people in Amsterdam to see how both targets get on.
