Barça striker Aguero set to announce retirement from football
The former Manchester City forward is suffering from a heart condition
Sergio Aguero has been forced to retire from football. Per reports for several weeks now, and after confirming the seveirty of his heart condition, the striker will have to bring an end to his career at the age of 33.
Aguero will make the announcement official on Wednesday in a press conference, with Barcelona set to take advantage of the event by arranging a small homage to him.
The Argentina international, who signed a two-year deal with Barça in the summer, was taken off during the draw with Alaves earlier this season when he felt dizzy. A heart condition was later detected and he has been monitored since.
Aguero has played just five games for Barça since signing from Manchester City, scoring one goal, in the Clasico defeat to Real Madrid in October.
