Barça's Estanis Pedrola off to a good start with Andrea Pirlo's Sampdoria

The winger has scored in back-to-back games but Samp are struggling in Serie B

In early August, Barcelona made official the loan of Estanis Pedrola (20 years old) to Serie B side Sampdoria. The operation was announced with a series of clauses. The winger was on loan until 30 June and the Italians kept a conditional purchase option of €3 million. But Barça covered their backs with a buy-back right of €7 million and 50% of any future transfer of Estanis.

Almost a month has passed and Estanis has not only made his place in the team's starting XI, but he is already an important player and is on a roll. The winger has scored two consecutive goals in the last two matchday.

The first was against Venezia, a goal that was not enough as his team ended up losing 1-2. His first goal was a trademark move. He received a ball on the right flank of the area, settled his body, and after the goalkeeper's gesture to cover the goal, he sent the ball into the top corner at the other end.

After his first goal on 30 August, he scored his second goal on Sunday in the 1-1 draw against Cremonese. Estanis received a great pass on the edge of the box, and from a central position, he scored with a great cross-shot. Despite the winger's good form, Sampdoria are still struggling to get off to a good start and are in 16th place in Serie B.

Estanis is making the most of his opportunities under Andrea Pirlo and has scored two goals in five games (518 minutes) in his first experience in Italy. Barça are keeping an eye on the development of a player who was a key player in the reserve team last season.
