Barça boss Valverde counting on Luis Suarez for Valencia game
Ernesto Valverde says the Uruguay striker is available for the game
Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has made it clear that Luis Suarez is available for Sunday's game against Valencia at Mestalla.
Valverde confirmed that Suarez did not train on Friday but played down the importance of a reported muscle problem.
"(Suarez) will train on Saturday," the coach said. "He didn’t train on Friday as part of Tottenham recovery work. We’re counting on him, he’s part of our plans.
"The idea is that he plays on Sunday. I don’t know what happens with national team, but he is someone we need to look after, of course."
Remember that Suarez had revealed earlier on Saturday that the he will undergo treatment on his knee next week, although he said that's not the reason for missing Uruguay's upcoming games.
The forward's wife is expecting their third child, which is why he has opted to sit out the games and remain in Barcelona.
