Barça B see off Chinese side CF Zhejian in intense friendly
Goals from Merveil, Guillem and own goal helped Barcelona win 3-1
Barcelona B won 3-1 against Chinese side CF Zhejian, coached by former Barça player Sergi Barjuan, in an intenst friendly at the Ciutat Esportiva on Wednesday.
García Pimienta selected a squad of Ezkieta, Wague, Mingueza, Cuenca, Vilarrasa, Oriol Busquets, McGuane, Riqui Puig, Gabriel Novaes, Morer, Merveil, Saverio, Mortimer, Carlos Pérez, Collado, Monchu, Chumi, Guillem Jaime amd Morey.
Barça dominated from the off, with the game played on Pitch Seven at the Joan Gamper. Despite the control they had, the struggled to break the deadlock.
Gabriel and Merveil both had chances, set up by Riqui Puig and Wague. The breakthrough eventually came via an own goal from Jin Hao after a fine piece of play from Marcus McGuane.
The second ahld was more even. The Chinese visitors levelled just before the hour through Rafael.
Barça were back ahead seven minutes later when Merveil scored his first goal for the club, cutting in from the left and curling into the bottom corner.
It was a good goal but the third was even better. Guillem Jaime, trhee minutes from the end, also cut in from the left, but he found the top corner with a wicked shot.
Barça B are back in action in the league on Sunday when they travel to Olot.
