Barça's Araujo apologises for 'Segunda' gesture in Espanyol draw
The defender says he was caught up in the heat of the moment
Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo has apologised for the gesture he made during an intense Catalan derby draw against Espanyol on Sunday.
Araujo signalled "Segunda [division]" to the Espanyol bench and supporters as the team's played out a 2-2 draw at Cornella-El Prat, with Luuk de Jong scoring a 96th-minute equaliser for Barça.

"I want to apologise to everyone at Espanyol for the unfortunate gesture I made tonight," wrote Araujo, who went off with a calf injury at half-time.
"It was because of the tension produced during today's derby. I consider myself a respectful person with rival fans and clubs. I'm not proud of what happened"
