The player's father and agrent, Mazinho, confirms that a meeting over his son's future will take place next week

Inter Milan and FC Barcelona are scheduled to sit down together next week to discuss the future of Rafinha. This has been confirmed by the player's father Mazinho, who is also his son's agent, in an interview with 'Goal.com'.

"At the moment we are waiting and we don't know what is going to happen. Next week, Inter and Barcelona have a meeting to resolve this issue," said Mazinho.

Mazinho also commented on the mental impact long term injuries have had on Rafinha but revealed that his son is happy again after a successful spell on loan at Inter.

MOTIVATION

"Whenever a player is going through a good moment in his career and suddenly they're hit with an injury, like the one my son had, you can't feel well," said Mazinho. He added that suffering a serious injury when you're playing well can make you feel "very depressed."

Mazinho admits that at one point Rafinha "lost his motivation because the recovery process was so long. "It was horrible for all of us, but he's started to play again - and play well. Plus he had an important role at Inter which made him feel very happy."
