Atletico Madrid's conditions for Joao Felix's transfer to Barca

Since the signing of Joao Felix on loan by Barça, the Azulgrana club already knows what the conditions are to keep the winger's services. At the same time, the entity chaired by Joan Laporta does not hide the fact that, as the coffers currently sit today, it is very difficult for them to afford the transfer of the Portuguese under the agreed terms.

Atletico Madrid told Barça that the sale of Joao Felix next summer would have a price of 80 million euros. And, according to sources close to the operation, this amount has been recorded in writing. As it is public knowledge that the Azulgranas can not reach that amount, and even less so on the cheap, the Colchoneros would be willing to take a split payment in three installments of just over 25 million each. This circumstance would make the operation a little less impossible, although Barça do not believe it is appropriate to invest 80 million on the forward.

As of today, as SPORT has reported already, the most feasible option if Felix continues to perform at a good level is that Barça tries to agree a new loan deal with Atletico. The club believe that next summer they will still be very limited financially but they are more optimistic about July 2025. A new loan would mean one more year of amortization by Atletico, so the price in 2025 would be substantially lower.
