Barça's Amor didn't deny that the club are in talks with the Frenchman

Atletico were not impressed with his comments and have complained

Atletico Madrid will report FC Barcelona to FIFA with regards to an illegal approach for French striker Antoine Griezmann.

The Rojiblanco were not impressed with Barça director of institutional relations Guillermo Amor's comments about the French forward on Sunday.

Amor refused to deny that there had been contact between the club and Griezmann's family, telling Movistar it was "possible" president Josep Maria Bartomeu had been in touch with them.

Cadena Ser then reported that Atletico, as a result, were deciding whether to complain about Barça's interest in the 26-year-old.

And on Tuesday a club spokesman confirmed that they had filed a complaint with FIFA regarding Barca's pursuit of the forward.

The good relationship between the two clubs and the two presidents suggested they would be able to come to an understanding, but Atletico have taken another path.
