The presdient wants another 80 million euros for Griezmann

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has claimed in an interview with RAC1 that he has proof that the agreement between Barcelona and Antoine Griezmann was closed before July 1, the date when the Frenchman's release clause dropped from 200 million euros to 120 million.

Asked about the club's statement following Barcelona's signing of Griezmann, in which they demand the full 200 million, Cerezo said: "If the club has released that statement, it's because they have evidence."

On Cadena Ser, they say the president has proof that revealed the France international and the Blaugrana began negotiations in November 2018 and closed an agreement in March of the current year, before Atletico were knocked out of the Champions League by Juventus.

"I am disappointed with the player's attitude because he wanted to go and he didn't tell us until the last minute," Cerezo added on RAC1.

Atletico say they will take legal action against Griezmann and Barça in search for the additional 80 million after the player's lawyer, Sevan Karian, deposited his 120 million release clause with La Liga on Friday.
