Here are Antoine Griezmann's first words as a Barcelona player
The French forward has released another video where he talks about his decision to join Barça
Antoine Griezmann officially became an FC Barcelona player this Friday. After his lawyer Sevan Karian deposited his €120m buyout clause with LaLiga, it released the forward from his contract with Atletico Madrid.
The French forward will be presented as a new Barça man on Sunday but the club wanted to release a short video in which Griezmann had a message for the supporters.
Griezmann has kept his silence through the transfer saga.
Now his transfer has been completed, he's able to speak freely about what lies ahead.
"As a child, my father showed me that the same train doesn't pass by only once."
In saying that, Griezmann talked about how excited he was to start a new adventure. "It's time for me to accept a new challenge at a new club. In the end, our paths crossed. I'll defend the Barça shirt with pride and determination. It's our moment, it's our journey."
