Antoine Griezmann: I hope we can bring the fans a good year
The French forward spoke after the open training session on Sunday
Antoine Griezmann took part in his first open training session as a Barcelona player, in front of 5,668 fans. After he spoke to Barca TV.
“It’s beautiful and important to be here and get the love and affection from the fans,” said Griezmann. “They are always together with us when things go wrong and support us when things are complicated, and that’s always something to be grateful for.
“It’s a pleasure to have them here and to enjoy moments like this with them. I hope we can bring them a good year.”
Junior Firpo also spoke to Barca TV and he added: “There’s a lot of people and it’s great to be able to enjoy football with kids coming in, for us it’s only a training session but for them it’s an unforgettable day.
“Everyone should do the same, I hope they have enjoyed it. They asked me for everything, shorts, shirt. I’d give them it all but the kit-men don’t let us!”
