The Spanish winger has gone from strength to strength this season and is showing no signs of slowing down

Ansu Fati has become accustomed to breaking records ever since he stepped out onto the football pitch in an FC Barcelona shirt. He made his debut on the 25th August 2019 under then-head coach Ernesto Valverde.

He scored his first brace against Levante and, with it, claimed his eight record since that debut five months ago. Much like Leo when he broke onto the scene, Ansu is making his mark as 'the youngest player to..' across a variety of categories. He's the youngster scorer in Champions League history, the youngest player to score for Barcelona in LaLiga (and in Europe's top competition).

HISTORIC ACHIEVEMENTS

He earned the youngest goalscorer in Champions League history on the 10th December (17 years, 40 days old). He beat the record by 155 days, previously held by Ghanian Peter Ofori-Quaye, who scored for Olympiakos in 1997. Ansu's goal came in the Giuseppe Meazza against Inter just 90 seconds after coming onto the pitch. Naturally, he also became the youngest Barça player to score in Europe's top competition, edging out Bojan Krkic, who scored against Schalke 04 when he was 17 years and 217 days old.

Ansu Fati also broke Bojan's record for the youngest scorer for Barça in LaLiga. The winger was only 16 years and 304 days old at the time of getting on the scoresheet against Osasuna. Bojan was 17 years and 51 days old when he scored against Villarreal.

Last Sunday, Ansu become the youngest player to score a brace in LaLiga (17 years and 94 days old). He claimed the record which was previously held by Malaga's Juanmi Jimenez (17 years and 115 days old).

On the 14th September, against Valencia, he claimed three records at once. He became the youngest player to debut in the starting lineup, score a goal in the Camp Nou, and to score and assist in a single LaLiga match. All three were achieved at the tender age of 16 years and 318 days old.

three days later

Three days later and Ansu became the youngest Barça player to make his debut in Europe's top competition when he played against Borussia Dortmund (16 years and 321 days old). This was only his fourth official match with Barça.

The only record he didn't claim was becoming the youngster player to ever make his debut for Barça. He made his debut at 16 years and 298 days old, 18 days later than Vicenç Msrtinez did in the 1941/42 season.
