The former Argentina coach and Menotti's assistant came to visit

Former Argentina coach Angel Cappa attended the Joan Gamper training ground this morning to speak to La Masia players. He worked as second in command to Menotti in 1982-83, and passed on advice to the younger generation.

The chat took place in the auditorium there, organised by Barca's methodology area.

Cappa focused on the importance of having a clear idea of play. "The most important thing for any club is the youth teams because that is where they form players," said Cappa. "And if those footballers arrive to the top flight with the club they formed them, they have more respect from the rest and a feeling of belonging.

"A Barca player has an identity already and that cannot be lost. The big teams can lose games and titles but what they can't lose is hierarchy, greatness and identity. You always want to win but the important thing is to know how to win. It's vital to teach that at youth level. You try to form players and they have to know how to win."
