Andrés Iniesta was pleased with Barcelona's 1-0 win over Sporting in Lisbon on Wednesday night. He told the media: "It's the Champions League and away from home above all, the games are difficult. They have good players and from midfield going forward they attack well and work together well.
"We tried to stop them and we mostly did it, bar one or another occasion. We played a complete game in all lines of the team and these three pointsl eave us very satisfied and at the head of the group."
Iniesta added: "In games there are phases of all types, and when it's time you have to be together because they have the ball, you have to know how to do it. This is the way, to improve. And that is what we are trying. We are trying to do what the coach asks us. The important thing is to put yourself out there, with confidence and from there the team will grow."
Iniesta was clapped by Sporting fans. "It's difficult when you're away from home. I'm grateful for these shows of affection. I hope it continues like this," added the veteran playmaker.
