Alba recommends Griezmann to sign for Barcelona this summer
The left-back compared the situation to when he left Valencia
Jordi Alba has become the latest Barcelona player to be asked about Antoine Griezmann's potential arrival at Camp Nou this summer.
"It's something which depends on the club and the player, but when I had the chance I took the decision to play for the best club in the world, to return to where I am from," Alba said. "It was when I was happy at Valencia and it hurt to leave because things were going well and I felt loved by the fans. Maybe he has the same feeling, although I haven't spoke with him. Any player that wants to progress and be able to improve would be well off at Barcelona."
During the presnation of his training academy in L'Hospitalet, the left-back added: "He's a player that links play and scores goals. It would be a great signing, but it's something which depends on him and the club."
Busquets
Alba also believes there's no risk of Sergio Busquets leaving Barça: "I think he will retir here. It's something we've spoken about and he's been a fan of the club since he was little. I'm sure his only intention is to stay. I hope he doesn't go anywhere."
Sergi Roberto
With regards to Sergi Roberto being left out of Spain's World Cup squad, he added: "I respect the coach's decision but I would have taken him. Odriozola and Carvajal have also had great seasons, but Sergi's grown a lot and deserves it."
