Paris Saint-Germain have been dealt a hammer blow ahead of the Champions League return: Kylian Mbappe is injured. The star was forced to abandon the French Cup final after a horrible challenge from Perrin.
It's hard to know what was going through the Saint Etienne captain's head as he viciously took out Mbappe. If the impact wasn't bad enough, Mbappe's ankle doubled over and may have caused ligament damage. After lengthy treatment, the French striker needed to be replaced.
It remains to be seen what kind of condition Mbappe will be in for the Champions League in Lisbon. He's almost certain to miss the League Cup final against Lyon next week.
