"I'm sure that I've made the right decision," Perez said after scoring his first Serie A goal

Carles Pérez is the happiest he's felt since leaving FC Barcelona to join Roma. The forward is beginning to find his stride under Paulo Fonseca and even scored his first Serie A goal recently.

The former Barça man is happy with how things are going in Italy. "I'm very happy here. I'm sure I made the right decision because of the teammates I have and on a personal level too. I feel very happy in this group," insisted Perez. Roma exercied their option to make his loan move permanent back in March and believe he can be a key part of their present and future.

Perez's upturn in form coincides with Roma's own change of fortunes. They've picked up 13 of the last 15 points available and will be playing in the Europa League next year. "Since we changed our system, the coach has asked for better pressing so we can attack quicker. And since the match against Bresica, you can see the results this style has brought."

Roma will face Sevilla next month when the Europa League resumes.
