The Catalan giants progressed 2-1 on aggregate after CGH's first leg strike

Barcelona Femeni have done it again, reaching a third Champions League final in three years, and four in the last half-decade.

The 2021 champions, who beat Chelsea, did it again at Camp Nou on aggregate, progressing 2-1, although the Blues held them to a 1-1 draw on the night before 72,000 fans.

Chelsea were pinned back for the whole first half but Barca could not find an opening goal.

First leg scorer Caroline Graham Hansen struck early in London and did it again but handled before finding the net.

She eventually broke the deadlock after an hour, but not before various chances went begging, including opportunities for Asisat Oshoala, and Aitana Bonmati.

The latter helped create the opening goal, ploughing forward and finding Graham Hansen, who finished well.

Chelsea hit back quickly, with Guro Reiten netting from close range after Sandra Panos blocked a Sam Kerr effort.

However Barca held on to reach the final and can now try to win their trophy back after losing to Lyon last year.

They will face Arsenal or Wolfsburg in the final on June 3.

“We were better in the first leg and I thought the result could have been bigger with the chances we created,” said Giraldez.

“And again I thought we were better today for the majority of the game. We didn't take the openings we created in the first half. I don't know how many chances we created in the first 60 or 70 minutes. After their goal, Chelsea were more aggressive and we had to compete, but I didn't have the sensation they were creating a lot, either.”
