Italian side Sampdoria are ready to pay around 14 million euros for the defender

Colombian defender Jeison Murillo, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Barcelona, could leave Valencia for Sampdoria this summer in a deal worth 14 million euros.

Valencia coach Marcelino does not count on the centre-back and Valencia are looking for a buyer. According to Sky Italia, Sampdoria are prepared to pay two million euros to loan him this season and 12 million next summer as an obligatory option to buy.

It's a good deal for Valencia. Murillo couldn't get in their team last summer and hardly featured after joining Barça on loan in January. Ernesto Valverde didn't use him and he left with fans wondering why he was even signed.

However, he still has a good reputation in Italy, where he played for Inter previously, and Sampdoria are prepared to give him another chance.
