Rodrigo Moreno, banned for one match

Valencia will lose striker Rodrigo Moreno for one game after he was sent off in their 3-1 defeat at Osasuna, the RFEF's competition committee decided Tuesday. He will not face Sevilla, therefore, on Wednesday.

Jaime Latre, the referee, wrote in his report that he hit an opponent on the head with his arm with excessive force as they battled for the ball, and that the opponent Estupinan was able to continue playing. If he hadn't been, Rodrigo could have been punished with at least four matches because it would be seen as a violent act which damaged an opponent.
