The Juventus man brought up the milestone in the Nations League on Tuesday

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th international goal on Tuesday as Portugal beat Sweden in the UEFA Nations League game in Solna.

Ronaldo, 35, becomes just the second male player to reach the milestone. Only Iran's Ali Daee has scored more international goals than him with 109.

Juventus striker Ronaldo added a second late on in the game to take his tally to 101 in 165 caps for his country.

No one in the modern game is even close to Ronaldo when it comes to international goals. Ferenc Puskas is third with 84 goals for Hungary, followed by Godfrey Chitalu (Zambia), Hussein Saeed (Iraq) and Pele (Brazil) with 79, 78 and 77 goals respectively.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi has scored 70 goals for Argentina in 138 appearances.
