Zidane 'regrets' coming back to Madrid before end of season
The French coach has struggled to turn around Madrid's flagging season
Real Madrid's disaster of a season has seen them go through three coaches. The latest to take charge is Zinedine Zidane, who returned to the club following the sacking of Santiago Solari. Zidane had only left last summer but president Florentino Perez managed to convince him to come back.
But Zidane's return has not provided the expected boost and Madrid's numbers are even worse in La Liga than they were before. They've almost certainly lost second place to Atletico following the loss to Rayo Vallecano, which forced Zidane to turn against his players. According to Eduardo Inda, Zidane's even regretting accepting the position before the end of the campaign.

After Solari was acked, the rumours suggested the Frenchman would take charge of Madrid at the end of the current season. Madrid had nothing left to play for, after all. In the end, Perez convinced him to come back sooner, a decision which he now regrets.
