Some players feels a change of manager at this stage of the campaign is pointless

Even though everything suggests Santi Solari could be sacked as Real Madrid coach this week and replaced by Zinedine Zidane or Jose Mourinho, or another interim coach until the summer, it seems the players are trying to put the brakes on a speedy dismissal.

'El Chiringuito' have revealed that despite the bad results, despite the problems with players like Bale, Isco and Marcelo, the ideal situation is that the Argentine remains in charge until the end of the season.

According to the report, the Madrid players feel a change of coach with just 11 games to go in the season would be unnecessary and could affect their rhythm further as they become news off the pitch again instead of on it.

Despite that supposedly being the players' wish, it seems president Florentino Perez has other ideas since the Ajax loss in the Champions League and he's making moves to find a new coach who can bring some positivity back to the club and help secure a top-four spot ahead of next season.
