"Lionel Messi is extra motivated for the Copa game against Sevilla"
Barça need to turn around a 2-0 first leg defeat at Camp Nou on Wednesday
After the defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, FC Barcelona are putting all their focus into the semifinal of the Copa del Rey against Sevilla, when they also have to overturn a first-leg defeat. Barça lost 2-0 at the Sanchez Pizjuan in February.
Going into Wednesday's game there is confidence in the dressing room, though, after Ronald Koeman's side beat Sevilla easily in La Liga on Saturday, recording a 2-0 win away from home.
That's something that has made Lionel Messi "extra motivated" for the cup game at Camp Nou, as reported by El Chiringuito's correspondent in Barcelona Jose Alvarez, who says the Argentine forward can't wait for the game and really believes a remontada is possible.
"They're absolutely convinced that they can turn the tie around on Wednesday," Alvarez said. "And there's one player extra motivated for the game, Leo Messi. The league game against Sevilla has changed the mentality surrounding the second leg."
