Sevilla playmaker Ivan Rakitic: It was a special game
The Croatian returned to Camp Nou in a different shirt after six seasons with Barca
Ivan Rakitic enjoyed himself on Sunday night when he faced Barcelona with Sevilla, a month after leaving Camp Nou. The Croatian played well in a 1-1 draw.
It's always special to face your former side, let alone one where you played for six years, won 16 trophies and played 310 games.
Rakitic ran, fought, shot at goal and impressed for the visitors against Ronald Koeman's sie, including having a clash with Sergio Busquets.
The Croatian took to Twitter to post about the match, in which he played 77 minutes, with 26 completed passes from 31 attempts.
"Very special game," noted Rakitic. "What a pleasure to play again in the Camp Nou. Great job team! Keep fighting!"
