Zinedine Zidane, obsessed with signing Paul Pogba
The French coach doesn't want Eriksen even though a deal would be much easier
Real Madrid are trying to add a midfielder. For coach Zinedine Zidane, Paul Pogba, his French compatriot, is a priority. The deal would cost a huge 170 million euros, massive numbers hard for Madrid to reach. Time is running out as United wouldn't be able to replace him either.
The Red Devils don't want players either in exchange - Bale and James were suggested. But there is a conflict between Zidane and Madrid's board, who want Tottenham's Christian Eriksen. The Dane is far more affordable, at 50 million euros. The disagreement puts Zizou and the club in an uncomfortable position with each other.
