The Sun: Bale's Real Madrid salary impeding Premier League return

El Bernabéu no aguanta más: sonora pitada a Bale al ser cambiado / | LALIGA

Man Utd, Chelsea and Spurs are interested but won't match what he currently earns

Gareth Bale's experiencing his lowest moments since joining Real Madrid but it's still going to be difficult for him to return to the Premier League.

The Welshman's huge salary in Spain, according to The Sun, means teams like Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham, who are all interested in the forward, are reluctant to go all out for him.

Real Madrid want a fee of over 100 million euros for Bale, while he currently earns 750,000 euros before tax at the La Liga club.

The player's agent, Jonathan Barnett, denies that Bale wants out of Madrid: "Gareth's happy where he is. As for going to another club, no one could pay it."

Madrid's fans have jeered Bale's recent performances and he still, after six years at the club, has problems defending himself in the Spanish language with his teammates.

Bale's contract runs until 2022 at the Bernabeu but, along with Marcelo and Isco, he's one of the players the club would be prepared to sell for the right offer.

So far this season he has scored 13 goals in 33 games with Madrid third in La Liga. But he's often found himself on the bench -- as was the case once again against Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday.
