The Jorge Sampaoli comment which Cristiano Ronaldo will not like

Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli has compared Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo with Lionel Messi -- and the Portuguese international may not like his comments.

Sampaoli, who's preparing his side for the Copa del Rey game against Madrid this week, has spoken to Marca and he was asked about Ronaldo and Messi. 

"Ronaldo is great, his only problem is that he's coinciding with Lionel Messi," the former Chile manager said. 

"Cristiano is deserving of any prize that they give him, but for me there's a big difference between Messi and the best. The rest have to compete for the ball (Ballon), with the gold (d'Or) always for Messi."

With regards to the game at the Santiago Bernabeu, Sampaoli commented that his side's objective is "to pin Madrid in their own half. We want to have the ball."

Following the first leg and this weekend's La Liga games, Sevilla and Madrid will meet twice next week at the Sanchez Pizjuan. First in the second leg of of the Copa del Rey and then in the league.
