Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was one of the first players to react to Zinedine Zidane's departure from the club. Zidane had told him about it before-hand, so Ramos was one of few players that already knew the coach's decision.
"Mister, as a player and now as a coach, you left at the absolute top. Thanks for two and a half years of football, work, care and friendship," wrote Ramos. "You go but your legacy is already indelible. One of the most successful episodes in the history of our beloved Real Madrid."
