Areola has managed to upset the Real Madrid fan base less than a month after signing for the team. Last year he was on PSG's books and decided to upload a photo of himself alongside former teammates Kylian Mbappe and Choupo-Moting after Madrid's heavy 3-0 defeat in Paris.

The goalkeeper was obviously happy to be reunited with his friends but, as the supporters were angry over the humiliating loss, Areola took the brunt of their frustrations. His name began to trend on social media as many fans felt it was disrespectful to post the photo so soon after the match.
