Real Madrid bring in Jovic and Mendy
Zinedine Zidane made some changes after the disappointing draw last week
Zinedine Zidane showed his displeasure with Real Madrid's performance last weekend by changing things up. The coach picked some new players in his side for the clash with Villarreal.
Out go Marcelo and and winger Vinicius Junior. In come Luka Jovic, up front, for his first start, and Ferland Mendy at left-back.
Keylor Navas is on the bench, for what may be his final time in a Real Madrid squad.
The team is Courtois in goal, Carvajal, Sergio Ramos, Varane and Mendy in defence, Kroos, Casemiro, Lucas Vazquez in the middle and Bale, Benzema and Jovic in attack.
Villarreal line up with: Fernandez; Gaspar, Albiol, Torres, Quintillà; Chukwueze, Cazorla, Iborra, Gomez; Toko Ekambi, Moreno.
